I've been looking at potential locations throughout the south and midwest.I found out about BiggerPockets from an investor that I met at church.

It's physical location would matter more on a rental. 

Just to move the discussion along, I've checked a library close to me and relatively centrally located with easy access.

We are located in Texas. 

I love the structures of the homes, and vast architecture of the many neighborhoods, but I am not sure of the best locations to start looking.I would love to hear from anyone that has had some experience investing in Detroit.

Michael Greenberg, we setup Google Business our self.Mainly it is verifying with Google that you are a legit business and that your address of your vacation rental property matches the location of your property on Google maps.Google sends a letter or registration card to the address of your property and then you must send it back.Once registered you ask your guest to give you a review on your Google Business 

Now, as we purchase more units and add them to my current policies, they will reevaluate the units use, location, condition (they visit the units), and risk.
