i recently found a property that is an old farm house that sits in a good bit of land but it isnt used as a farm any more and also located on the property is a large 20 dog kennel building that the owners have been useing as an animal shelter so i was wondering if it would be a possible to get a grand to buy the land?

With the current influx of so much money into the rental property segment, based on what I have heard and read, even if I could raise the capital, large multi family (apartments) are not really an option.My area of southwest Missouri isn't a large population, so there are not to many opportunities other than single family homes that would be within range for me to manage personally.

It needs work, but there are a couple large cottonwood trees that are pretty close to the homes. 

@Melissa YeungThere are several considerations that can go into the analysis of whether you need an LLC or whether a large insurance policy will suffice.

It is in a large (not huge) city 3 minutes walk to major University.

It requires a lot of scale, and a solid maintenance team.

Because I'm remote I've already done a large 'tour' of the area in Google Earth and it looks like a good area.
