I admit, I am fairly new to the Real Estate field, I began maybe 6 months ago with wholesaling, which is pretty straight forward.

She was in a county I didn't invest in very often and so I taught her about tax sale overages and how the county kept the money if it was unclaimed for a year.She was pretty successful at that and then more and more people began to learn about excess proceeds at property tax sales and that field became kinda crowded.

This field is different in Canada than in the USA so not everything I have learned will translate.

I own the landI'd prefer to keep my land value privateI will be providing financing and the builder will be building the house, subbing contractors etcHome value will be high but I want to keep privateI'm an experienced investor in a few fields, the builder is obviously an experienced builderThanks!

Could anyone to share with experience on this kind of investing and give an idea how long time it may consume to get in the field and see results?

Some people on here talk about how you need to field 30-50 calls to get one deal.

I currently work overseas in the United Arab Emirates as a Field Service Representative for armored military vehicles.

Unless you are trying to generate some real deal flow major marketing campaigns are costly and time consuming.Having many college buds in your field I can not imagine you wanting to spend your spare hour's answering calls from motivated sellers.

As it stands the only valuable education I have accrued is through working in the field of construction and reading articles.FOR CHICAGO AREA RESIDENTS:Does anyone have any suggestions as to real estate schools I should look into so I can gain some knowledge along with getting my realtors license?
