Lenders will have their guidelines about this.It really comes down to how much you have for  down payment, plus CAPEX, Operating Reserves, required fix-up, eand ect.. money.For more particulars on this, it's best to search out lenders and speak to them directly, as they will all have their individual requirements.

I am particularly nervous because I just purchased 8 new duplexes in a "C/C-" neighborhood on the last day of January and I don't know these tenants well and didn't personally screen them but I will **STILLL** be surprised if any of my tenants chooses to just quit paying rent because evictions are not possible.
