Looks like several credible scientists from different organizations and universities agree that it will likely happen sometime in the next 50 years and will likely be the worst natural disaster in the countries history. 

I live on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay and I'm just now transitioning to invest full time down here on the coast.

Then, we had the rainiest July in the history of Indianapolis, which caused a basement to flood and a furnace to flood and stop working, so a new HVAC system installed.All of these things either took away a lot of money, time, or both, and we simply haven't been able to do as much real estate investing as we would've liked this spring and summer.

An older luxury car may be what you want and in an affordable purchase price range, but you seriously need to consider the age, mileage, and service history.

I am trying to find sold price history for properties in Houston, TX and I can find some of them on Redfin.com but sometimes they won't have the information.

I would rather rent to hard-working responsible people who have something to lose and won't be as likely to trash my place.The tenant pool has less to lose, in general-- less wages to garnish and often weaker credit/rental histories.

The area has gotten rougher over the last 20 years (my sister used to live off 87th & Eastern) but if that can get turned around you'd have a real good potential to market to the folks Cerner is going to populate with.
