thank you Kasan,  I would love to do a house hack, the challenge is finding a property that is less than $1MM in Brooklyn.  

I have noticed that buying in the historical district of Oregon City can have it's challenges. 

However, when looking for properties in downtown Austin near my work, my wife and I have been facing several challenges due to the high prices.We first wanted to buy a small multifamily home, but the prices for these would be beyond want we could afford month to month if the other unit(s) sat vacant.

What would be some of the possible solutions to this challenge? 

@Noel Challenger May I ask how many signs you put up monthly and yearly basis?

Also, I have found it challenging (depending on the tenant) that the payment of rent and requests for repair calls may be confusing for the tenant depending upon new procedures.

By this I mean is there enough parking for your business to be successful there, or would it impose a challenge for your customers and hurt your likelihood to succeed?

The challenge is finding a deal in a hot market like Nashville.
