Issue is not with wholesaling, assigning contracts, it's the misinformation, twisted comments implying things that aren't correct, just like the title of this thread, the original link has absolutely no bearing on any answer to ethical or illegal activities, nothing but a misleading inference used to point out hype of a big deal that also has little bearing on what small residential wholesalers do.
