I'd like to continue house hacking, but because I'm a real estate agent on 1099, I need a solid plan to generate more income to help with qualification.

I'd also start talking to lenders and agents who have experience with investors and experience with the strategy you're looking to pursue.Best of luck!

Interest rates are not going down anytime soon, and your expenses are going to continue to increase as well as your taxes and insurance.

However, I talked to my realtor who got started in real estate via room rentals and he shared that as a 'border income' situation you actually have more rights than a traditional landlord.

But for the good of all the forum readers - what @Bill Brandt is talking about is an LLC that doesn't file its own tax return. 

I am always looking for other ways to continue investing and expanding/building my real-estate portfolio.

I would talk to lenders in your state to get specific.
