Of course I'm planning on going in with a smaller purchase price offer but I'm sure there will be some negotiation.

The problem I ran into is that the PofA for my husband was good to close, I signed for him at close,  we started paying on the loan and like a month later it was rejected. 

I plan on going to the sustainable city towards the end of this year or next year during the dubai winter.

There would likely be an ongoing cost to that of course.Conversely, I would recommend just getting an agent unless you are really familiar with the market.

You really have to watch out for fees - loaded to buy in, ongoing, and surrender. 

Find someone with the capital and give them a defined ongoing active role in the deal.

That said as a person with a spouse who has ongoing illness from mold toxicity exposure from many years ago I'll just ask that you bring in professional mold remediation and EVEN THEN - know that you may still have mold issues in the future.
