I have my rental insurance through Allstate and Statefarm but neither can offer umbrella insurance policies bc I don't have an auto insurance policy.Anyone know of a company that provides umbrella insurance as a stand alone product?

@Karla Talancon  I am in the process of negotiating an owner-financing deal (I'm the owner), so I hope you don't mind if I pop in here and ask some questions that might help both of us and maybe spur new questions from you that would help us also.I'll use generic/random numbers since the deal is still being negotiated, but here's where I stand.  

More risky that conventional real estate investing unless you are in a existing market.I would not invest in the stand alone tiny home concept as they are way over priced and basically just glorified RVs for the luxury buyers.

That isn't on the National Code Book but on the the NFPA 72 (Which stands for National Fire Alarm and Signaling code) has a requirement that smokes have to be installed inside each bedroom (they say sleep rooms in case people transform other rooms into bedrooms) even for existing homes in addition to requiring them outside each sleeping area and then one on each level of the home that is a combo carbon/smoke (Additional smoke alarms are required for larger homes.)

And I agree certain real estate markets are under huge stress and it's always wise to keep track of the market, have an opinion on where things stand and act accordingly. 

In other words, the oldest generation has the most to lose and are apparently often the least aware of what they stand to gain.
