I'd like to get start engaging in owner financing, however I have no idea where to start. I am in the Houston-area so if anyone would like to meet up so I can pick your brain or if I can shadow any of you on your deals please let me know. Or if anyone knows of any meet-ups or events where such topics will be discussed in Houston, San Antonio or Austin. Please let me know !!! Very Interested in learning about this topic.

I've done owner financing 100x.  What's your question?  The easiest way to do owner financing is by simply asking the property owner.  If they own the full property in cash, it's a pretty easy affair.  Come to an agreement on what you're able/willing to put down, and what the rate/term will be on the amount to be financed.

If there is existing debt on the property it'll have to be paid off at close, or that loan will be wrapped (I've done a blog posts about wraps before but no idea where.  I took down the link on my site as I didn't want my main lenders knowing I was doing that so often as some lenders look down on it).  Google has info though.
