I'm 24 and have had the good fortune to save up some money in my first years of work in San Francisco.I'd like to really dive in and learn, and within the next 1-2 years take advantage of the low interest rates still available and invest what I've saved up in one or multiple properties (residential or commercial).

I have been married for 5 years this summer. We live in Memphis where we are members of a local church. We've lived for 4 years in a home that recently turned 100. We have a dog and cat and enjoy hanging out with them...

I am having some trouble figuring out what to do with this rental house I am purchasing.Some quick background information before I get too deep into it.

The only complaint is that with the light rail there are a LOT of dumpster-diving and thefts near the stops.

Someone to hold your hand while you are standing on the cliff looking down to the deep blue water below and say "3-2-1...JUMP!!"

Before you get knee deep into the analysis, think about:What are your goals and expectations with real estate investing?

I would start there absorb as much as you can before diving in, but take the dive!!!!
