You could deny responsibility for moving tenant's furniture all you want.

I wish I had followed up with an appeal when they denied  my request to lower the assessment. 

Once  you sit down and do the math you just can't deny that the advantages of real estate investing outpace playing the stock market.

So my landlord did submit an insurance claim and was rejected based on the fact that "since the home is still to fit to live in there is no coverage under your policy for the loss; therefore your claim is respectfully denied."
