After running the numbers on dozens of properties, my conclusion is house-hacking in Brooklyn/Queens (or other expensive, major metropolitan cities), seems to be a very tall task.

They can help keep everyone on task by following up with inspections, contacting the lender weekly to get updates, contact the attorneys weekly for updates etc.

I am looking for recommendations in the Cedar Rapids area for the following:- Flooring installers (carpet, vinyl, or laminate)- General handyman work (light, miscellaneous tasks)- Lawyer with experience in HOA lawAny ideas or tips are appreciated!

And at the end there is an 11 page workbook with sections for each of the 25 components, the tasks for each component, the unit cost indicator (sq ft, cubic yard, each, etc) an estimate of labor costs (this book is from 2013 so you will need to make adjustments) and a column for material.

We definitely plan on getting it in writing and having defined roles/tasks once we get to that stage!

I think Your Money or Your Life was especially impactful and is something I wish I could share with my 18 year old self, which has not a ton to do specifically with REI methodologies, but will hopefully give you the power to stay on task and design your life from the beginning.
