NYC has done pretty well for itself and the Bay certainly has a possibility to end up like that, but one could also argue that the Bay and even SF in general has a lot more to do to make transportation as efficient as over there.I'm kind of rambling and going off topic, but basically I guess what I'm trying to say is: a seller's market does not guarantee that the price will go down any time soon, nor does it guarantee that price wouldn't crash any time soon.  

You can then ask for their address and get them talking about the property.

For now I think this is the most efficient solution.

I would want the contact name, address, property address and Decedent's blame at absolute minimum.

It's safe to say though that if you have great credit, solid income, and you have 10-15% down that you should go with 10% down either with lender paid MI conventional or 5% down conventional with lender paid MI as these two scenarios are probably the most efficient use of your capital.

Actions such as:  look in the mailbox or ask the letter carrier; ask the neighbours;try "Googling" the address;have all been very helpful to me in finding owners.
