SF is quite Lyft/Uber friendly so it's actually cheaper to use rideshare than own a vehicle.

But right now there is access to cheaper money than has ever been in our lifetimes.  

The media says that people are beginning to move out of the area to pursue cheaper housing, but I haven't seen much impact of this if it is true. 

They were a little bit cheaper than TTS.

Option b would be cheaper for us but option a might be with the effort.....

Honestly you will get more bang for your buck with buying cheaper and still getting pretty good rents looking outside of Virginia Beach in my opinion.

Cheaper if your unit is under warranty also.

If you know the right people (our realtor gets a discount) they only cost about $400-$500 a year and will come out and fix any appliance for about $75-$100 fee but will not replace them. we have used them once just because it was cheaper than paying a contractor to do it when our air handler went out.

It's cheaper to rent then own down there (for the most part).
