Have done about 20 loans with them over the past year or so. agreed we have done half a dozen or so.. for the very experienced flipper they are quite good.. and what I like is their transparency on fees and rates in their pricing metrix.. for beginner BP members asking about HML I always point them to their website and pricing matrix.. so the beginner gets the idea of where rates are when experience is not there.. there is a race to the bottom in HML for flips..

That said, if the present level requires you to have to ask what a lien is it would seem there is no due diligence that's been done - don't put the cart of debt before the horse.
