The areas we stayed at in Santa Fe NM, Branson MO, Nashville TN, Gatlinburg TN, Charleston SC, Inlet Beach FLall were packed, restaurants were busy, traffic was heavy and beaches were filled with frolicking familes.Now, I can't speak for where we didn't go, crime infested Seattle WA, crime infested San Francisco CA, Memphis, St Louis, Chicago, New Orleans LA, Atlanta GA, you know, the usual hell holes.STRs good in nice places, STRs not good in crime infested places.

Its closer than 2 hours but traffic pending can be a real haul heading up that highway 400 with cottage traffic.

If you place 100 signs in high traffic areas, reaching an average of say 50 cars an hour for 3 solid hours a day for 3 days, you're gaining exposure to approximately 45,000 people. (50*3*3*100).

If you try to raise rents then a developer with a brand new building in a better location can come calling and say for close to the same rent can have a new building and more foot traffic and eyeballs on the business to drive revenue per sq ft.

Post up your listing..... places don't rent because either people don't want to live in that area, or the rent is too high for the unit given its condition or locationsI get a lot of traffic from FB and Zillow, so I advertise in several others, but that's where the majority come from

There are certainly some cheaper area's outside of where I live, probably more of a 45-60 minute drive to get there simply because of traffic (only maybe 20 miles or so).
