However, I started ramping up towards the end of 2015 by finally reading ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ (found at another thrift store), buying J Scott's books on flipping houses and Brandon Turner’s books on rental property investing, listening to the BP podcasts (I’m on episode 108 as of now), and engaging more on the BP forums. This is my typical day now as a Newbie RE Investor: When I wake up I open the BiggerPockets app on my phone and I read and engage in the forum posts.

@Darren Eady  @Bob Maleckithis scam is alive and well in the mid west rust belt and deep south. When I had foreclosures and banged on doors... more than once I asked who they were paying rent.. to and it would be    I's pay to the guy in the blue truck... this scam is alive and well .. the fact that the dectives will even engage you is awesome most jurisdictions would tell you its a civil matter. assignment of rents is great but it cost to perfect it.. and try to explain to some tenant what it is.. they have no understanding and think your the MAN trying to scam them more.

He reports $60,000 in the box 1 (wages, tips, other compensation) of his w2.And $50,000 in the box 3 (Social security wages). This way he pays taxes only on $50,000 but used $60,000 amount to calculate his company profit sharing contributions and therefore is able to contribute larger amount into his Solo 401k.Any issues here?
