Yes the market is shifting, and has been for several months, but deals are still being done. 

You can get a good analysis from a gc and/or a structural engineer to evaluate before you shift to full demo of the structure or rehab of it.

And to safer neighborhoods, schools and JOBSGet ahead of demographic shifts to be in path of progress. 

But if we shift our mortgage to a 30 year on the $173,000 we have left it could save us $1000/mo to put into renovations or back in our pockets.  

In the now shifted /softer market there is no need to waive such things as inspections, appraisals etc.It is a personal preference whether you want to accept someone elses inspection report but I would recommend to get your own.

I am not to a point of alarm yet but a bit puzzled as to how or why a market shift in real estate buying power would effect rental demand when I expected the complete opposite effect.
