My primary property is a 3/2 1266 SF home on a 7500 lot.

Over the last 5 days, LGI Homes dropped by 13.91%, Tri Pointe Homes by 9.91%, Toll Brothers by 9.25%, and Meritage Homes by 8.94%.What is there to look forward to?

Hello Everyone,I bought a home back in January 2024 using my FHA loan and I received a call from Atlantic Capital Funding saying that I could FHA streamline (interest reduction) from my 6.625% to 5.7% and could even get two mortgage payments covered, (allegedly).

This caused it to get less traction as other homes at the same size.

It is also a little bit of speculation on my part that 1) home values will continue to appreciate at or above the inflation rate and 2) that eventually rates may drop 1 - 2% (I am at 7.5% on my most recent refinance) and will be able to do a cashout refi in 2 - 5 years.What are other's thoughts on this?

These are not the kind of homes that are going to cashflow for you. 

Recently I've seen a massive increase of homeowners rolling up their sleeves and taking on DIY projects either on their primary homes or on their rental properties.
