@Andrew Caldieraro there is a lot of stuff that goes in buying a multifamily property and specially out of state ,I would suggest you to invest in yourself before you invest in any kind of property otherwise you could end up loosing your money.I am not trying to scare you away but this is the fact and it is a team work because multifamily is different from single family.

Make sure you work with a really reputable team.

When it comes to real estate professionals, personally, I'm a fan of my team. ;-)We're investor focused for both buy and hold and flip properties.

My partner is a contractor, and we are trying to put a team together right now.

Expanding also includes building new teams abroad so that would be up to the investor to take on that task.Diversify in other asset classes whether being A/B or investment types like Short Term rental, self storage, mobile home parks or even building and development. 

Why not look at your first deal as an opportunity to learn the game, build your team, and make (cheaper) mistakes on your way to the bigger deals?

I want to start by building my core team: agent(s), lender(s), contractor(s) and property manager(s).
