Recent story: I have a client that has been looking for an office space for some time and finally the property that checked all boxes hit the market.

We shoot idiots into space on rockets and build flying cars, bragging about how good technology is getting, but my county alone is 80,000 affordable housing units short of demand...we are in a housing crisis that we as a nation have never experienced...Housing a bunch of high wage earning white people is just not appealing to me on any level.

The outcome was a seasoned investor branching of the retail space and into the off-market world.

It's a great space with tons of helpful people.

I am under contract on a Chicago property that has 3 cashflowing units but the zoning cert says it is only a 2-unit + commercial space (which has been turned into a 3rd unit.

Renovated - refinished basement, made secondary rental space.

, but I know I have plenty of wonderful people to meet in this space, and plenty to learn!

I would suggest looking into the glamping short term rental space.

We need to open an unbearing wall for the kitchen and break the closet wall to expand the master bathroom space, then other works are just cosmetic.
