The good thing is that Section 8 pays part or all of their rent and most Section 8 tenants don't want to lose their voucher.

I just attended a 1 day event with some of Scott's staff.I had a voucher of some sort that I was to hand in at the front desk.

Are MA vouchers good in  Rhode Island and if so who decides what the voucher pays? 

I am hoping to offer the ability for tenants to use housing/rental vouchers (as it is a low-income area), but I'm still verifying if that is possible.

I'll call Section 8 and try to get their voucher pulled.

I do 90% low income, and never a section 8 voucher will I take.

In my city there is an initial registration process for yourself / your entity as a Landlord in the system and then the property inspection happens after you've approved an applicant with a voucher for the home.

It really doesn't matter East vs West, there are thousand of people with vouchers.  

If I would have gotten someone with a 4bd section 8 voucher, I could have gotten $1300 month rent.  

As for Section 8, the PM (you know who she is) has them listed as Section 8 as well-- and her strategy is to accept a 3 bedroom voucher for my 4 and 5 bedroom properties in order to lure in a "nicer" tenant.
