They didn't run away with my $ so that's a plus.

We both work in finance, so we’re pretty comfortable running the numbers.Our combined W2 income is ~$350K, and I work remotely with a very flexible schedule.We’ve saved over $200K across various assets (stocks, crypto, cash), and we live frugally, saving around $100K a year after taxes.

While the savings can be significant, end of day, I still had to run the numbers to make sure the Minoan numbers were better than what I could get via sale, etc.

Some states may be more enjoyable than others when it comes to running a PM company.

That’s the way I like to run it.  

Most of us are running lodging businesses in areas that are zoned residential.

They’ll handle tenant screening, maintenance, and rent collection, ensuring things run smoothly while you focus on growing your portfolio.Ultimately, starting local and self-managing is a common path for new investors, but outsourcing property management or investing remotely can work well with the right systems in place. 

Trying to run a successful PMC is difficult but trying to run multiple companies - VR, Annual, cleaning, and landscaping is probably going to give you an aneurism.
