Question that the “believers” don’t ask is “how much could I earn on the extra money I’m spending to pay down the loan faster?  

Ask any asset protection attorney, and they will recommend WY, NV or DE as best states to use.

Much of it based on defense spending that will likely increase as assets are moved from Colorado to Alabama to include the Space Command HQ.

@Camille Romerounless you are able to spend some significant time in your chosen location in person, and work on building a network there, i would pick a market closer to NYC, within a couple hours.  

Hi Ricky,Being in operation for 10 years with mid seven figures of assets and NNN leases,it would be wise to speak with your tax advisor regarding if the tax set up should be an LLC, an S-Corp  or a C-Corp.It would also be wise to speak with an asset protection attorney to find out if this is something that might be beneficial to you in that area.

I will figure out what to do with it when I get to $20M, but it will probably just be finding new ways to improve built environment along with travelling more and spending more quality time with fam. 

Time is money and I prefer spending my time with my fam and friends instead of problem tenants and legal cases.

This could be just specific to the real estate industry, but in both recruiting and cybersecurity consultants (hackers for hire), the ones that start their own business/consultancy, are the ones who after spending 2 years (usually exactly 2 years which is when recruiters will message them), the high performer will either 1.

Spending on expensive upgrades is not the answer to improve your tenant base in this type of area.Keep the homes habitable, clean, and safe.
