Seems like a decent idea.It is certainly feasible to use the income of the tenants to lower or eliminate your housing expenses.It would not be a scalable business plan.

Sounds like you're wanting to replicate InvestorCarrot or LeadPropeller but for contractors.I don't think there will be enough demand from contractors for a service like this to sustain a business though.Seems to me like it would be a smaller more niche business model rather than something scalable.

In my opinion you need some money to get in the game...unless you are out door knocking day in and day out (which is not scalable) you will need money for marketing (direct mail, online) to start getting the phone to ring.

If it is real estate and business then get's trickier as you need to find an operator/owner type. 80% of businesses are owner/operator and not generally scalable.
