Foundations are engineered for the soils and Dallas has a newer housing stock...not saying don't be careful, just that typical movement probably causes cosmetic damage and will not render a property uninhabitable.

After going to the FHA 203K team at my mortgage company, at first they threatened him to return the check and that he would be paid for the services rendered or THEY would press charges for fraud and grand larceny and he would have to answer to the attorney general in court.

My plan is called "The Aruba", rendering and floorplans:I have so much more to tell, but for now I will leave you with this:Lot Cost: $91,500 (it's 5 blocks to ocean, yet out of flood zone, prime lots)Construction Cost: $185,00 (just under $110/ft for build, I may be able to get that to $100/ft)Sale Price: $359,900I plan on closing on the lots in a few weeks, then starting 3 in a row (one every 30 days).

Assuming there isn't any excessive florescence & the base can be rendered reasonably solid I would just skim coat the walls with (a cost effective) Quikrete product & then just paint.
