I am wondering as well- for wholesaling, fix n flips, BRRRR, S/T rentals specifically

Anythings on the table for me, Air bnb, Buy n Hold, Small Multi, Student housing etc.

Putting aside the fact that it probably makes more sense to get my start somewhere relatively local to me, I was still wondering, for you fellow Canadians (@Marie Shaug , @Roy N.) who have some experience investing cross-border real estate, are there any resources you could point me towards that would help give me an idea of what kind of additional expenses, taxations, or other considerations I need to take into account if I end up going that route?

It shouldn't neccesarily be taken verbatim, BUT aggregating that statement with other data is useful to underwrite.Buy n hold peeps will say "pay no attention!"

I did a couple of fix-n-flip in Warner Robins GA which has Robbins AFB and the rents are really good.

Ask a wholesaler what you should do and they will say wholesaleAsk a fix n flipper what to do and they'll tell you to do F&F'sAsk a PML/HML what to do and ........

I redid the bathrooms, put new flooring,  replaces doors & windows n fix the gutters garage & plumbing. 

I've helped many of them, including one N California investor who purchased 8 rental properties here.You mention house-hacking...will you be using the home as a second home part of the year or do you plan to rent it out on a long-term basis.If you plan to get a loan, I would recommend contacting BP member @Art Shalomov, who is also a lender.
