It’s not necessary to stay local for these services as long as you have online bank statements or a solid way to get them to the bookkeeper.

I generally work with home owners looking for long term management, but I do work with a local broker with access to off-market deals, and he sees a lot of activity in the area.

Find local meetups, rub elbows with other investors, find out what they need, and then find a way to meet that need.For example, maybe an investor is growing fast and struggling to keep up with inspections.

What's the zoning on the property and do you have a relationship or contact with the local rep? 

It is just like law firms from NYC have a full team vs local independent lawyers have a one-man army or a very small team.

Lower the qualifications.Real estate is extremely local.

So going to attempt something more local first. :)We definitely want to invest in true vacation rentals as well but this will be a good learning process with not as much risk to start.
