You could have moisture issues, which will shorten the life of the paint, and even if you don't, it has to be repainted at some point indefinitely.

Phillip:We use a variety of liquid, moisture, and humidity sensors with our building monitoring set-up to detect leaks (or when a bathroom fan or the HRV needs to be switched on) and have begun incorporating them into our renovations.That said, with the exception of humidistats on bathroom fans, the best offence we've found is prevention.

I like the way it looks, but it requires a minimum moisture content in the air, which I don't have out here in the desert, so I've never installed it.I can't think of any reason a buyer would object to it, other than the obvious one that they have their heart set on red cherry floors (which is a problem with any and every flooring you use)I don't think bambeoo is any cheaper than other wood flooring, so you chose it because you like the way it looks.

It resists moisture but when moisture gets in it's tougher to get out thus creating a better environment to breed mold.

The reason for it was because the drain and the shower liner (that leads to the shower basin) were both bad and the new tile going over the old tile certainly didn't stop the moisture from getting through.
