I just protested 2 properties myself and thankfully was successful on both of them with significant reductions :) One was relatively easy to devalue since we have done no repairs yet because it rented out to a tenant who wanted to be there solely for location (by a lake).

What is overthinking and waiting super long going to do for you besides devalue the money by no less than 3% per year due to standard inflation and this year of all years that will be much higher with the stimulus checks that came out and interest rates going down? 

to have the assets devalue or never go up.. that would be a poor investment I would think. 

Watch them devalue the gold derivative they created - ETFs - and try to point to that as a folly of going to the gold standard.
