If it's truly abandoned, you will notice most/all clothing is gone, there's no high-value items like flat-screen TV or computer, all the food is gone or old, most kitchen items are missing, etc.

The employer was REI (Recreational Equipment, Inc.) and turkeys could be seen "hidden" under cashier counters, in sleeping bag bins, under clothing racks, behind the ski display... it was hilarious!

I’ve never heard my mom talking about she gotta pay the rent or car note growing up.I just don’t pay for any extras like amazon, she buys most of the little stuff like houses supply’s and even buys most of the kids clothes.

Sure, white might show scuff marks and food stains a little more, but most will wipe right off with a damp cloth.
