My biggest piece of advice would be to practice your elevator speech about what the meetup is and what the purpose is and stick to a purpose.

For example, we're very clear with customers that they're paying extra for things like Truss construction, Advantech subfloor, maybe Premium studs... glued and screwed... etc.

I met my wife at Calvin College and she is a speech pathologist.
