I am currently looking for 2 or 3 flat properties with additional space (basement or attic) for short term rentals in NW Chicago (Jefferson Park, Irving Park, Portage Park, etc.) area as well as a few suburbs like Melrose Park and Elmwood Park.

I purchased a tax property in Birmingham al (Bessemer-Jefferson div) and recorded it on 8/7/2017.

In fact, the entire East Jefferson corridor has taken on a life of its own and will likely be the new Woodward in the not-too-distant future.

I grew up down in Jefferson and have seen most of the corn and mint fields turn into houses for commuters to Salem and Portland.  

So I have a house in Jefferson Ohio, small town, not much going on there, most of the houses are older but its a decent town.

It is located in the Jefferson Park area of East Point, which I understand is not a hotbed for STR, but that is ok.
