We do have a secured solid wrought iron fence/gate to the alley, so the tenants are secure as long as they remember to lock the gate.I will go ahead and try to contact our council member and see if anything sticks there.

@Jason Sirois no one has mentioned this yet, but if you’re changing industries (tech to RE broker/agent), you’re going to have a difficult time qualifying for a loan until you have 2 years of solid tax returns.I wasn’t sure if your goal was to become an investor or to strictly focus on being an agent/broker, so perhaps you have already thought about this.

However, there continues to be a shortage of available homes for sale, and the homes that are for sale are priced on the extreme high side or are going into escrow in a matter of days, resulting in a need for rental units.A business partner of mine just recently purchased a 3 family in Western Massachusetts, remodeled kitchens bathrooms and re did the wood floors, ( all affordable renovations), and increased his rents by over 19%!!!!
