I am interested in building more new rental units with alternative energy features that will produce rental income and residual income from energy systems.

Crashpads are great income producers, but if you are not crew you might run into issues getting people to replace the crew you already have.I currently am a partner in 3 in DTW (I retired a few years ago) with someone who still flies.  

Using the income they say the property produces, that is negative cash flow before taxes, insurance, and maintenance.

He has substantially more monthly cash flow due to being a business owner and therefor is moving faster.My wife and I have decided to "GO FOR IT" and start with shopping for a property with a goal of 5 total, producing a retirement income of $5000 a month once paid for.  

But like you said, as long as you can maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Now you have two cash flowing properties that are producing you a good net profit even after paying your credit partner.

Sometimes simply googling or binging an address will produce some info.

When the time eventually comes, I would like to invest in an income-producing property myself!
