Where can I find some literature or any form of education about what currently builds equity during renovations…i.e adding bathrooms, custom closets, adding sqftLeaning towards a flipping market..I want to make sure we’re working smarter TIA

To enter the inside of my thought process: Check the real estate listing, count how many rooms there are, condition of appliances, cabinets and bathroom. 

Rehab is likely 6 figures (open the layout, rehab pool, rehab kitchen, rehab bathrooms (3) converting one bathroom from 0.5 to 0.75), new and relocated HVAC, Digital locks, patio with deck accessible from Master BR, convert office to BR, convert large BR into 2 BR).  

Hey Kaylan,Stick to the neighborhoods where your middle class Americans live (teachers, mechanics, mailmen, etc) These are the best areas to drive for dollars since most of your end-buyers prefer to flip these homes.Also, look into pulling the Code Violations list from your county - they are essentially driving for dollars for you.Best of luck 

Essentially, you are wanting to get a feeling of the area from a distance before even visiting.

New roof, plumbing, new kitchen, new bathroom, paint, new floors, LOTS and LOTS of cleaning What was the outcome?

I bring in over $1000/month renting a room with a private bathroom.

Cracked floor tiles in the 1/1 unit's bathroom - noted that it may be due to sinking of floor 3.

So essentially the land is just sitting there not collecting taxes. 

They are in fairly good shape, but the kitchens have limited cabinet and counter space, and both the kitchens and bathrooms are dated.
