I would continue participating and learning on BP among many other sources.  

Is there any particular REI group you participate in?

(Because it's highly unusual for a person to meet the first definition of passive activity:-"trade or business activities in which you do not materially participate during the year"). 

So, if you want her (and she wants too) to participate in your family business endeavors, you should add her to the LLC.

However, I would like to see a move toward slightly higher sales taxes, which would force EVERYONE to participate more in funding services, rather than placing so much of the burden on property owners.

@Dawn AnanstasiAs many of the participants here have indicated, it's best to take lists like this with a grain of salt.

He had a special tax incentive extended to his company by Congress and he explained and showed us a way to participate in it and drop our taxable income legally to 15% flat with a simple and legal work engagement with his approved entity (a CPA who was present explained some details about it and it was mind blowing) 12.

Participating on this site and learning will help you have the knowledge base when you can.

I only participate in Riverside County, and have done so pretty consistently for past 10 years.
