the bank was keeping you abreast to the status of the loan at all times. it appears that they were following the regulations set forth by the govt (i believe its reg z). it's quite unfortunate, but i've seen many loans that appear to be great fall through at the last minute for one thing or another....

I'm buying condo.It has washer /dryer installed by previous owner.It is one of the reason I want to buy this property.But on March 9, 2009 HOA accepted new regulation about W/D to be removed from the units.I like this condo, but can not buy it if there is no Landry available in the unit.What is my options in this situation?

Now I understand that the fed regulates "prime" % at which they lend to the big banks, so they lower the rate when the economy needs "easier" financing in order to be stimulated, but that has nothing to do with private lenders.So, my question is - when the economy is expanding, shouldn't HML become Easy Money Loan?
