You can always ask for a home to be reappraised if a valuation comes in low and not only that, you can provide evidence to why you think the appraisal is wrong and where you think it should be.

@David Travieso first check state and local landlord tenant laws because you may be required to provide lodging or possibly just reimburse days not available, if damage was not caused by them.
