Alternately you can charge her to install a keyless push button lock but I suspect if these are temporary visitors and they you have to change the codes later.

In my opinion just from a lifestyle standpoint I do not see why anyone who could afford to own would not unless they knew it was going to be a very temporary situation.

My home town has a whopping 1900 or so residents, but with virtually no available rentals, including the three doors that we own (a 1BR Duplex and a 3BR SFH).I started studying REI in the early 2000's, but I was emotionally attached to paying off the mortgage on my residence.
