In fact, since I've started real estate investment, I negotiate more and more things and in increasingly creative ways.I've had people ask for sometimes large reductions in rent and I've just politely declined, but if I couldn't fill the property, I would reconsider.

I know if it were my daughter, I would help her write a letter to the management and attach a copy of the clause in the contract that they are violating, state clearly you did not receive internet or any compensation to cover it, and then ask for what you want, either a reduction in rent or internet installed immediately or released from your lease so you can move without penalty, whatever.

In this area, one month rent is about $3000.You can ask for any reduction you want, otherwise the house will be left a mess on each open house; clothes everywhere, leave the lounge a mess, bras hanging off door knobs, underpants drying in the shower, no washing up done for at least 3 days beforehand (so the sink brimming with dirty plates, cups, etc).
