I’d look into land in the path of progress .

Maybe as things progress technologically it'll get easier to just do it on your own... which I hope

That's what my wife and I did and it was a huge part of why we were able to make the progress we did (aside from just making more money).

@Scott Baker Brother unless you only have a one chapter book you made a lot of progress in your learning curve.

The work was progressing well but when he was about 90% done I started to get the story of unexpected complications and delays in the job and he needed to pay his crew.

I am currently designing Podio and some integrated systems to capture repair costs, solicit and award contractors bids, manage and report on labor and material costs as well as controlling multiple project progressions at once.

How's your progress coming along

We are approaching the Thanksgiving season and I thought I start off  a little early with a progress of ownership and a big thanks to the whole biggerpockets.com family.

I am looking for advice though from the rockstars about where to start besides that so I don't have to depend on my business partner to make progress forward.
