Regardless, mortgage rates are still high as well so it’s a bit disheartening.I kinda wanna buy a property in Nevada and rent it out but I guess that disqualifies me from the FHA stuff because there’s no way I’m leaving LA.

We were able to get a home equity line of credit, so if we wanted to, we could essentially put no money down and use the income from the property to pay this and the mortgage off.

It can work in very limited situations like this one, where you are just trying to remove yourself from title, but there is absolutely no reason to do so instead of a special warranty deed.
