I would personally stick with Sacramento or within a 2 hour drive if you're going to BRRRR where you could check up on the project.

My wife is more open to purchasing a single-family home instead where we keep our current home and rent both units.

I grew up in Cleveland and personally own a S8 rental.

I figured i needed a "company" to have my commissions written to, instead of me personally. 

In today's market, with low foreclosure discount compared to past buyer's markets and a lot of "motivated buyers", the risk/reward ratio keeps me far away from the courthouse steps. 

It requires the right person and some good mentoring, training and oversight.   

On the other hand, Florida continues to be a highly desired market for out-of-state and foreign buyers, keeping demand strong.Given these factors, what are you currently doing with your condo investments in South Florida?

I would personally do the later, keep the interest rate, and start your rental portfolio.
