Do you have any advised on what to look for when selecting the right IRA?

I was impacted by Covid due to furlough for work and took advantage of the opportunity to take money out of my tax deferred IRA as well as some of my contributions from my roth IRA.

I had to increase my tax liability to benefit from the electric car credit a few years ago. so I converted some Ira funds to Roth funds to create a tax liability.

I may open a Roth IRA soon, since I have a small side business that makes me a decent chunk of money I can invest.

I have maxed out my Roth IRA and Roth TSP.

In addition, if you have a dormant qualified account such as an IRA or 401k there is a way where you can create a structure that will allow you to legally use your qualified funds to pay your premiums on the Insurance contract without causing a taxable event and thus increasing your access to additional capital that you wouldn't otherwise have access to.

I also have some potential investment money sitting in my Roth IRA that I'm considering pulling out for a down payment.

And educating them on what we are doing and that there are other ways of investing than the traditional 401k, IRA, Etc.
