It really would be more of a watch the place, let subs in as needed, cut the grass in the summer and be the designated person my homeowner's insurance agent told me I would need if I would be living out of state.

Taxes are about 150 a month Basic insurance will likely be about 60 a month Im figuring 150 a month for maintenance and capxThe morgage would be 305 a month if i do 15 year at 6% with 20% down Totaling to 665 Rent in the area is around 800 a month.

Personally I don't do short term rentals unless they are done through one of the companies who place insurance clients due to fire, flood, etc.

In Florida, Teen killed in motorcycle accident ( highly suspect that his plan to claim on insurance went awry and strong prescription painkillers involved).Single person occupancy and he was the only person on lease.He was in the midst of moving out, but left behind starving animals, drug paraphernalia, junk.Now multiple strangers are driving around and selling off his 6 vehicles and have been staying in the house after his death.
