I've also offered to carry the balance that remains for the seller if he signs his vehicle's title over to me (he has an old 1985 truck, not worth much but my thought is it gives him some incentive to repay me).

@Virginia ReasorIt also depends on whether or not your employer is providing you a match on your retirement contributions.Furthermore - it also depends on what your goals/strategies are.If you have  good employer match - you may want to contribute up-to the match.If your goals are to continue to invest in real estate - you may want to look into putting more of the money in a roth vehicle.

A good indicator is signage, both on vehicles and jobsite, signage plus a website usually means they have systems they may be willing to share with enough lunches and trade-offs (coffee or drinks).
