The buildings are nice brick exteriors with interior common areas.

This is my first Investment Property that I am doing and I want to make sure I am getting a relatively good deal.The house needs no work on the Interior.

Next day I decided to ask my PM if she could go and check the interior of the house, just in case.

Not sure I even want to deal with an interior remodel, although I have family with experience that can help.

It's much more cookie cutter on SFR's (not that short sales are cookie cutter, just that they are compared to commercial loans)Regarding viewing, they probably mean no interior inspections and to not disturb the tenants.

Another thing I have been spending more time taking note on is the condition of the door and interior/exterior windows and window frames. 

Not sure if it is interior space you really want to go with no heat, there could be issues based on coldness and pipe placement as it sounds like a larger entry.

All interior cabinets and closets are ripped out, so no manufacturer info panel. 

The interior has been renovated (crown moulding, all new appliances, tile backsplash in kitchen.
